DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, Dominion Railways, 15J, Model 1883, 18S, gold-filled false box hinge OF recase, case originally was with a glazed observation cover over its mvt but this is no longer present, black and white photo of a woman is inserted inside case rear, white enamel DS dial with Canadian market 13 to 24 hour indications and magnificent colored train image including "Dominion" marking on its tender, SW-LS, frosted and nickel damascene, s#4500781. One of Waltham's most iconic railroad watches, the Waltham "Dominion Railways" features one of the most beautiful dials in American horology. In our experience this frosted and nickel finish version of the Dominion Railways movement is far scarcer than its gilt finish equivalent.
